Dude a lot of us live in cities and go to Starbucks that are like steps from our houses. I would never drive to a coffee shop. But I'd also never live in the sort of place where I have to drive to get to a coffee shop.
This is not the brag that you think it is. But good for you that have access to bleak strip-mall coffee.
No one lives in a city for easy access to Starbucks, but it's also a fact that if you live in a city you don't drive there-- you just stumble up on one every other block when going anywhere.
It's just weird the PP assumes everyone is driving to Starbucks. Even most people who live in suburbs or car-centric cities are not making special trips to Starbucks in their cars. They are going there while already out or on their way to or from work, because there's one next to their office or the grocery store or their gym. I don't love Starbucks but I go there probably once a week because it's convenient to something else I'm doing and I want a coffee.
And yes I use the app when I go because it's convenient and sometimes offers deals.
