What movie is it? Teenage years is a very wide span of maturity and development, just like the year prior. I'm probably going to say need to relax, as what constitutes PG/PG13 now is much more prudish that when I was a kid. That said, your kid is going to MS next year, so you better start getting comfortable with a lot more discussion/topics that you are likely currently avoiding.
Thanks. These are all good points. I am aware that middle school is a year away, but kids will be close to a year older then, right? There’s a gap between 4th and 5th graders, and then 5th and 6th graders. There are definitely, movies I’d let my 5th grader watch, but would not have viewed in 3rd grade. So now I’m looking for the moving kine for a 5th grader.
That’s not the way this actually works. There a gap between 3rd and 5th. There’s very little gap between 4th/5th except the fact that 5th graders should be preparing for MS. The gap between 5th and 6th is not the start of the year but the difference as the year goes on. That difference exist because the MS gap is between 6th and 8th. Your goal should be preparing for the upcoming year and existing in the current year.
