It’s really easy theoretically to screen embryos for fatness, psychological problems, iq, height, heart problems, etc. All this stuff is either somewhat or mostly genetic. I wonder if most people will do that in the coming years. If your own genetic material sucks, you can just order materials from people with better genetic material. Then voila, you can have thin gorgeous smart girls and tall brave muscular brilliant boys.
Every one of those things you mentioned, besides height, is a flaw in and of itself. But there’s nothing actually wrong with being short (within a range obviously). You might be limited in a few sports which happen to be popular but besides that the only issue comes with how society treats short people. If you believe that we should eliminate shortness from the gene pool due to discrimination of short people then you could apply this logic to any other group of people with features that are discriminated against and argue that they shouldn’t reproduce either. Another issue is that height is RELATIVE. A 5’7 man isn’t intrinsically short, he’s short because it puts him it the bottom 30% or whatever of height compared to the rest of the male gender. If we increase the average male height to 6’5 through selective breeding then men who are 6’2 will be considered short. There will always be men in the bottom 50% no matter how tall the average is.
