He basically governed as a center right politician and as a check on the worst excesses of the Democratically controlled legislature. As a Senator, he would just have one vote and would probably be to the right of Joe Manchin. I'd rather have a Senator who supports 100% of a Harris administration's appointments, judicial confirmations, and legislation than another roadblock.[/quote]
