Very, very rarely do they work out. They mess around for a few months and usually the younger person decides they’d rather have someone their own age, without all the baggage.

I went through this at 23.  Dated a 45 year old, recently divorced man. It was exciting because he seems so mature and I thought he’d be everything men my age weren’t. But pretty quickly I got tired of his body (he was in decent shape, but 45 is still 45), I realized most 45 year olds aren’t even all that mature, and I definitely did NOT want the drama that would have come with being a stepmom to his kids. So we had fun, then I found a guy my own age.

If I got divorced (I’m 40), I could see myself having a fling with a 20 year old. But ultimately I’d get bored pretty quickly and want someone on my level. [/quote]
