[/quote] Unless you live on a very narrow, quiet street where there's essentially one lane for driving. So you're not "crossing" oncoming traffic - 1) because it doesn't exist and 2) because you're just pulling into the same lane you'd pull into from the other side of the road or if you were parked in the different direction. Lots of streets like that in the DMV area.[/quote]
