Easy.  I'm leasing the car and the lease is $1000 per month. I can afford the payments because I have lower housing expenses.
My rent is $1200 for a 1bd apartment. I could have rented an apartment in a more upscale building for $2200 like others and driven a Honda Civic. I prefer to pay a cheap rent and drive a Porsche Cayenne.

Not for people who need to move frequently for work or who refuse high interest rates. Renting actually makes sense right now.

However, the car is stupid. OP should keep the one bed, and invest his savings in stocks so that he can be wealthy later. This is what I did, and now I'm in my 40s with 15M. No family help and a middle class income. But only if you're not stupid.
