The first 10plus years we did mostly domestic vacations- lots of National and State Parks and once a year beach vacations ( Florida Clearwater, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and Hilton Head). However, since the pandemic, everything in the US is ridiculously expensive - and it makes more sense to travel internationally. Also, I agree with OP, when we went to Cape Cod and NE coast in Summer 2018, we saw very few Desis or POC. I do think the number of POCs on National Parks have increased since the pandemic. Finally, it’s not fair to pigeonhole all Desis ( Indians or Pakistanis or Bangladeshis) in one group. Just like every place, we have different interests, different priorities and different spending options. [/quote]
