I tell my kids to sleep over, my husband and I go to bed 9:30/10.
That's shitty of you.
How so? Other parents can say no. We live on one end of the district so my 16 yo has a few friends who live a good 25m bc they are on the other end. We usually have them stay over if their group has late plans. The close by kids will go home bc they can walk or it’s a quick drive/bus ride. If I didn’t want them to stay I’d tell my daughter no - it’s really not hard for me to say. However, I’d like if these parents paid for dinner or similar if they never host. The polite ones will send a pizza or have their kid do Uber eats. The food costs are the only bother as we have a big finished basement and I like the kids here anyway as I can keep an eye out and her friends are mostly polite fun friendly kids
