natural pb with a lower sugar jam on whole grain is way better than most lunch meat, lunchables etc. good protein, fills you up and tastes great
This sounds disgusting. As adventurous as my kids are with their eating, they still want to eat things that taste good. I push the more natural jam and whole wheat/grain bread but I've given up on the natural pb. They won't eat it and honestly I can understand why. I ate one of their sandwiches once, yuck.
Part of it is just a question of what you're used to. I've been eating nothing-but-peanuts PB for maybe 20 years now and everything else tastes gross - I want peanuts, not peanut-flavored frosting! Part of it may also be not having tried the right kind. I don't like the really barely-ground chunky kind, only smooth, usually the TJ's organic. It does separate while stored at room temperature, but once I've opened a jar and stirred it up I keep it in the fridge anyway. Argh, every time I open this thread it makes me crave peanut butter. Must... hold out... until breakfast...
