Agree on both counts. Jane Austens dialogue was perfection and the BBC dialogue captures it so well. Especially Lydia’s nonsense- the actress does it so well. “He’s threatened to dance with us all!” I was dying.

Wedding scene was lame at the end.

Jane's appearance is oddly the thing I dislike most about BBC P&P. The fact that she is just not more attractive than Lizzie (at least how she is styled) makes it hard for me to suspend my disbelief since her being more beautiful than Elizabeth is such an important element of the novel. Of course that's a small quibble, and I do generally prefer the BBC version. [/quote]
