But do you not have a day job?  Even if your day job ends by 4 pm or so—that would be a very long day.  Wouldn’t it be hard to be alert and cheery after working 13+ hours straight?

OP said "often" and that it's for sporting events.  I guess I was assuming it would be 2-3 times during the week and at least one weekend day.

I mean, people do work second jobs. They do a side gig to earn extra money to pay off debt or save for a kids' college. I have done it as an elementary school teacher (tutor afternoons, evenings and weekends) despite having kids at home. Sure, you don't do it if you don't need the money.

Be glad that you have never had a need to work a second job, I guess. But it's a "thing"![/quote]
