MCPS doesn’t seem to have teachers’ backs—they’re more concerned about equity and not punishing students if they happen to be of a protected race. And so there are no consequences and students know this. The army, for example, gets a hodgepodge group of people from many backgrounds. They make sure everyone follows the leader and there is order.[/quote]
