A lot of times this is because a group of friends sign up and they also have the same conflict - birthday party/other sports game/school event. So you get a cluster effect.[/quote]

People think that they can just skip a game.  That's not fair to others and shows lack of commitment.  Yes it's rec, but people still expect you to show up. Do one sport in a season.  There's nothing wrong with down time.[/quote]
