Security - are you police?  If not then what is your legitimate role in carrying guns in public?
Defense - are you military?  If not then what is your legitimate role in carrying guns in public?
Want a gun to defend your home, fine, but outside of that, it is not your role.

And if you are carrying a gun in a populated area then you are clearly not legally hunting or using it for recreation.[/quote]
