This definitely gives me pause about what colleges DD should apply to. [/quote] I was initially surprised to see UF on the list, but clicking the link I see this is crimes on campus. UF’s campus is huge, with lots of wooded/natural areas that are often isolated. There are signs all over campus about not using certain paths after dark (this is going back at least 30 years). Most (all?) of the fraternity houses are on campus. I’m not saying crime doesn’t happen, because clearly it does, but I wonder how many of these crimes are in populated areas during the school day, vs someone walking the trails around lake Alice after dark.
