They are literally NOT doing ANYTHING about it, just talking about needing tips to solve  these crimes not HOW they ARE GOING TO PREVENT CRIME HERE. BBQ'S CLEARLY aren't WORKING.

The 6 homicides in 2022 equal the TOTAL homicides in the City of Alexandria from 2019, 2020 and 2021. Now, we are at 5 homicides less than half-way through the year. I've lived here for more than 45 years, and I cannot remember the entire City being in such a state. We used to worry about the Berg only. Now violent crime is seeping into all neighborhoods. The mayor can blame Covid all he wants, but this is 100% on the City's leadership - or lack thereof. [/quote]
