I'd say the impetus on one's part to take the particular action they did is also luck. How many stocks have you sold at the wrong time only to see it take off! Every one of us could have bought a house a mile away from where we did and would have ended up with a completely different set of neighbors and friends and so would have kids. Our kids would likely not know a single person they know now if we had done that! Yet we go through life with such an illusion of control..[/quote]
