The people I know in this position feel like they prioritized their careers, never met the right person, and feel like they may never and not have a family. I know a male doctor and a female doctor in this position. There is nothing wrong with being single at 40. I started a divorce at 40. It is a problem to be single at 40…if you want to be single. If you still want a family, it is not a good spot to be in—male or female. They have not even met someone yet. Could be many years before a possible family.
