People, this didn’t involve anyone going to a stranger’s front door. READ the article.
+1
We know. The point is people can't handle anyone on, near, or encroaching on their property. Whether they ring the bill, place a yard sign, pull in the driveway, walk by slowly. Everyone is deeply paranoid and suspicious. Every been on a next door site and observed all the people freaking out that their house is being cased?
But this one is just insane on a completely different level. While both recent incidents are equally awful, this case seems nuts. Like target practice. He shot at the car from his porch as it was driving away out of his driveway. No one got out of the car, no one went to the door. No one. And pictures show the house to be quite far from the end of the driveway, this man is (unfortunately) an excellent shooter. He aimed to kill. Not the same as shooting someone very close range in front of you. Equally awful, but still if someone is driving far away, to get on your porch, aim, and fire, is just next level. I also read this area is so remote there is no cell reception. The driver had to drive to the next town to get a signal to call 911. I speculate that these people couldn't get a cell signal to use a direction app like Waze which may have been how they ended up so lost.
We know people are crazy. This is why you can get shot for unintentionally cutting someone off in traffic. There are all sorts of armed and dangerous people out there. This really isn't surprising.
