Vital records are all databased. A homeless person already has fingerprints in the system. Hell, if I was mayor, I’d hire a team of 5-6 researchers to figure out where they came from, track down next of kin, etc.

If you come in DC to do drugs and camp in public and generally be a nuisance, you get sent back to where you came from. If DC is your legit home, we will try to get you wrap-around services. The end.

Wait, when do you think people are fingerprinted? Why would simply having mental health issues result in getting fingerprinted?

Also basically everything y’all are describing is unconstitutional (for now). You are talking about things that would be widely condemned. Criminalizing smoking and sleeping on the sidewalk? Punishing these things with deportation out of the city or forced acceptance of services would simply never happen because it’d get shut down by constitutional challenges immediately.

You don’t know anything about this issue, clearly. You also will get almost no one to staff your concentration camp reservations. Social services work is grueling and has high burnout rates. Working in an institutional setting is even harder. I doubt you’d do it yourself, so maybe consider staying out of complicated issues you don’t understand. [/quote]
