This election is happening right now in VA Beach. If you know people and care about abortion rights, please get involved. Groups all over the DMV are phonebanking and a few groups will be going down to canvass the weekend of January 7th. Rouse is an exceptional candidate. Former NFL player, VT Hokie and current City Council lawmaker. He's deeply involve in the community but this is a special election so it will be ALL about voter turn out. This is Youngkin's backyard and there are indications he's looking for a win after doing so terribly with his national tour.

It's also not just about Virginia. Abortion is banned in basically all of the states South of VA. NC might be able to hold on to some legal abortion but they continue to have a GOP dominated State legislature. Over a third of the women in the US live in Southern States. This would make it all the harder for those women to get access to lifesaving healthcare. [/quote]
