[/quote] My above average student, but my no means stellar student, got a $3500 per semester scholarship to UMBC last year. A lot of her friends got the same offer. That made it extremely attractive. I honestly don’t know of anyone who got any money to go to University of Maryland. My daughter’s friends were just thankful they got in. By the way, that $3500 scholarship required a 3.25 to keep it. Which is higher than any of the other schools. She didn’t choose UMBC. But it is getting more popular.
