My neighborhood listserv this month is literally a page of people asking for “someone to just swing by my kid’s school and pick them up every day”. There are probably 15 people this week posting this exact ask. Do people assume there is a huge populace of driving adults that want to drive around their child daily for $10 an hour?[/quote]

And it’s always super obvious how low the rate is “this would be a great job for a retiree!“ The best are the posters who keep asking for local “carpools“, which means “you drive my kid every day for free because you live two blocks away“.[/quote]
