What makes you think that potato and broccoli won't work today?
Low fat or low carb pick one
What? I don't get what you mean? I am not picking anything, just eating in moderation. Potato is not high in calories, unless you drench them in oil.
Potato and broccoli are low fat, that’s a low fat diet.[/quo Are you making sweeping decisions about my eating habits based on my lunch today? I guess all tha sausage I had on the weekend makes me have one diet one day, next day something else. How disordered!
OP here - this thread cracks me up with how it goes off the rails, DCUM-style. Never meant to start a debate, but DCUM is gonna DCUM. I originally made the statement about eating a potato and broccoli. Basically ate that for dinner every night in my early 20's -- and yes I was following a low fat diet. Ding ding! It was the age of Snackwells. I was super skinny living off of that, salads and baked ramen noodles. Did I mention it was also the "I am very broke and any extra dollar is going to buying overpriced vodka tonics at 18th Street Lounge" diet?? Anyhoo, my stomach has changed and what works has changed. I don't feel great if I eat an entire baked potato these days. I swear I've become my mother.
