It's why you should never volunteer to lead an HOA. Let someone else step up, or better yet, hire a professional management company. My HOA has, over the years, tried to recruit me to serve on the board, and each time, I have declined. I'd rather have dues go up than be paid nothing to deal with people complaining about things like parking and landscaping.[/quote]
