It was reported in the news. The couple who died were in a vehicle making a left turn onto Georgia Ave at an intersection where they did not have the right of way. They were a nice couple -- he was a well-known veterinarian -- but nevertheless he failed to yield.[/quote]

This says nothing about them not having the right of way or that speed was not involved. In fact, it explicitly says that the investigation is still on-going:
