Circe Remarkably Bright Creatures An American Marriage The Dutch House If You Leave Me The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo The Change Homegoing

Wow - thanks everyone!! I’ve read and enjoyed more than a few books on this thread, so we’re definitely on the same wavelength. Can’t wait to check out the others! (For those who liked Circe, did you also read Song of Achilles? My teen DD and mother both raced about it recently!)
Not the PP here, but also read most of those books and currently really enjoying Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I loved Circe so much I bought the Song of Achilles paperback, but haven't gotten to it yet. A friend who read both said she loved Circe but preferred The Silence of the Girls to Song of Achilles. Homegoing is an intense read but worth it. Pachinko is also excellent. These may have already been mentioned and/or you may have already read, but you might like: Giver of Stars (Jojo Moyes) Four Winds (Kristin Hannah) The Henna Artist (Alka Joshi) Ask Again, Yes (Mary Beth Keane) Daisy Jones and the Six (Taylor Jenkins Reid- I didn't do the audiobook, but devoured this in one weekend, such a great summer read) FWIW, this is my current queue since it sounds like maybe we have similar tastes: Song of Achilles (soon, I swear! ) One, Two, Three (Laurie Frankel- really liked This Is How It Always Is) The Push (Ashley Audrain) The Silent Patient (Alex Michaelides) Damascus Station (David McCloskey) Conversations with Friends and Beautiful World, Where Are You (Sally Rooney- enjoyed Normal People; have heard Beautiful World isn't as good as the other two) Harlem Shuffle (Colson Whitehead; glad to see someone here liked it!)
PP from pg. 1 that likes Anne Tyler and Ann Patchett. I also have very similar taste in books! DH did not care for Song of Achilles as much and I loved Circe so I am hesitant to read it...maybe report back here after you read it? I think you'll enjoy the books about your queue. Some others that I think you may like: The Dearly Beloved by Cara Wall Save Me the Plums (memoir) by Ruth Reichl Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes Writers and Lovers by Lily King
