Okay. How about comparing with ladies in Paris? I see ladies in LA or Manhattan do better job in their makeup. In most other cities including DC, do you really think that women (and men) have a good sense of fashion in general?[/quote]

Ha, no, but that has nothing to do with whether Americans or South Koreans do makeup better. They’re just going for a different aesthetic. In DC I think women go for “[b]look presentable with the least effort possible[/b] so that effort can be spent on my career instead.”[/quote]

“Look presentable with the least effort possible”  do you think that most people look presentable? How good are they? This requires skills.  This is different than no makeup.  You think that women in Paris don’t spend enough efforts on their career? OP asked for suggestions and I am just sharing my thoughts.

Well your “thought” was to suggest women look up an Asian makeup routine because Americans are bad at makeup. That’s a terrible suggestion, because South Korean makeup technique is different from the minimalist aesthetic you’re probably thinking of. The popular South Korean aesthetic is to make women look very young; doe-eyed, cutesy, etc. So sure, share your opinion, but this is the internet and people are going to push back.

And yeah I think DC women look “presentable” even if their makeup isn’t perfect. Sheesh. It’s super harsh for you to say women here generally don’t. I think you might be conflating presentable with what’s attractive to *you* specifically.  It’s also odd for you to nitpick not just how much makeup somebody is wearing but how well it’s executed and critique the chosen aesthetic. [/quote]
