I don’t think anyone believes current HOS wants to sabotage but it’s entirety believable (and on-brand) to hire a weaker leader so current HOS can still “advise” and “consult”  [/quote]

After a 30 year successful run they weren’t going to find an stronger successor.  Maybe she’s retiring so she doesn’t have to advise and run the school from the shadows. Is that possible?  Everybody’s focused on the whittle tenure, but this guy has a very successful track record beyond that. he wasn’t going to take a job or he gets to be a puppet for his predecessor. Heads of school typically come in with a vision and their own style. it’s a very complex CEO position  Give the dude a chance. [/quote]
