As a prior poster pointed out, your GPA jumps a lot junior and senior year if you take a lot of APs. Also Naviance matters more than anything for the individual student. The average admitted GPA for my kid’s HS, for example, is 4.1 because it’s a private school without a lot of AP options. [/quote] But for Langley it’s a 4.47. You have to compare against the top gpa possible at your high schoolZ the college counselor should help. Naviance will help. OP also needs to ask high school counselor if they will be checking the most rigorous box. That’s a necessity for UVA and OP’s kid should be in the top 6 percent of their class.
