LOL.  I graduated without a job. I did have a scholarship to go study abroad for a summer, so I did that. Came back to US. Signed up for temp work for 6 months until I got into the industry that I currently am doing great in, dream job.

Don't even remember how many of my friends had jobs when we graduated. They're all working now, though.[/quote]

You're on a parenting forum, so this was 20 or 30 years ago? Welcome to 2022. There's no excuse for OP's kid not to have had a job offer in hand 5 to 10 months ago.[/quote]

Not only should OP's kid have had a job offer months ago, think about what their peers with jobs or grad school plans have done in ADDITION to locking up the job or grad school. They have done all the paperwork required, secured housing, housing down payments, they have secured travel arrangements, probably have a trip planned before beginning, on and on and on and on. While OP's kid did... literally nothing. This is a MASSIVE character red flag.[/quote]
