Are you telling me FCPS is spending precious school dollars paying for "covid case managers" at individual schools? That's insane. What purpose do they serve at this point? [/quote]

Our school hired a part-time covid case manager to handle the increased number of students who are out with covid.  Previously the principal was doing it - with the addition of the case manager, the principal could focus on her job instead of handling the covid students too.[/quote]

What's there to "handle"?

All the money spent on these case managers could have been used for tutoring, something actually beneficial to students.[/quote]

The COVID case manager at our school was helpful for us. Our DD tested positive recently and with all of the changing guidance (and we got inaccurate info from VA DOH), it was useful to receive a call from the case manager telling us exactly what we needed to do in terms of isolation, testing, tracing, etc. according to whatever the current guidances were at the time   [/quote]
