Split. I’m a stay at home mom, not a maid.
So husband works and he has to do half the cleaning? ok…he’s happy with this arrangement?
have you ever been a sahp for young children? Yes, he’s happy, why wouldn’t he be? He didn’t marry me for my cleaning skills.
🤣you kidding right? I’ve been a SAHM since my children were born and yes, I always cleaned the house and did housework too. My husband works, takes overtimes, so I can take care of our kids. You’re probably rich rich, so you think simple tasks that normal folks do are super demanding and feel overwhelmed when you have to clean the bathrooms.
NP. Lots of people who don’t have a lot of money find cleaning demanding and overwhelming. In fact every MC SAH mom I know with the exception of one feels that way.
Different SAHM poster and I don’t understand this. I’ve been a working mom and a SAHM and can definitely see the need/desire for a cleaning lady when both parents are working. Really odd to me to outsource basic house responsibilities when the point of staying at home is to NOT outsource. Of course you take care of children, but keeping the house clean takes like 5% of my total day, which I can do because I…stay at home. If picking up toys, wiping down sinks, and putting dishes in the dishwasher is overwhelming for someone who is home all day, I’d assume they are not a clean person at all to begin with. Anyone with a basic sense cleanliness should be able to do that. My young kids can, in fact.
?? We are not talking about putting dishes in the dishwasher and picking up toys. We all do that! We are talking about scrubbing tubs and mopping kitchens and changing sheets on lots of beds, etc.
