Jessica Simpson's and Shania Twain's memoirs were both fairly juicy, clearly written by the women themselves and not ghostwritten, and full of new-to-me details, since I wasn't a superfan of either. The end of Shania's marriage in particular was bonkers. Very beach-read-ish.
I haven't read Shania Twain's, but the Jessica Simpson memoir was very interesting and I also appreciated that she wrote it herself. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I also enjoyed Open by Andre Agassi and The Rural Diaries by Hilarie Burton. The first memoir I ever read was by Annette Funicello (one of the original Mousketeers). I remember being fascinated by her life and how different things were then.
