but it's not "industry standard" to look at a magazine's rankings of colleges when deciding who to hire/interview. LOL. Ok, so Notre Dame is three places higher than Berkeley on a magazine's ranking list. Great. Are you under the impression that the hiring folks are like "well, we have these two candidates, Susie went to Notre Dame and Esmerelda went to Berkeley and Notre Dame is 3 slots higher than Berkeley, so Susie it is!!!" I promise you, it's not.

Ok. It is okay that you think US News rankings are unassailable. Can you provide one (1) piece of evidence that any employer when hiring would chose one applicant over another applicant simply because their institution ranked three slots higher in US News?[/quote]
