I know last year, My DC school have around 20 senior who make perfect score for SAT or ACT, but their names are not all on 2020 presidential scholar list as I googled 2020 list
A 1600 would get you on the list everywhere. A 36 may or may not. Some states require a 36/36/36/36 (CA/TX/?).
So stumped. DC showed me a classmate's mom posting screenshot of 1600 SAT, but kid not on 2022 PS list (I just looked it up). How does that happen? Also see a kid on list who is NMSF and rejected @ Chicago. Doesn't make sense (to me).
NMSF is based on PSAT. As for the perfect SAT, it's possible they didn't check some box that allows for their scores to be released to third parties or something like that...if they care a whole lot, they can contact the department of Ed...
Can't imagine this mom not ensuring every box not checked off as she screenshot and posted the SAT score. Regarding the other kid, I am still stumped that a kid on this list, who is an NMSF with a 4.0 u/w (school phased out APs over 10 years ag), gets rejected ED by Chicago. Get that it might happen in Ivies (know that happened to another kid on this list with same stats and applying to an Ivy) but why would Chicago not take a kid like that.
