Also, it hasn’t had anything to do with an “agrarian society” in 70+ years. It has to do with one thing and one thing only:transportation. If not for transportation, all schools in a district would just start and end at the same time. And there is just no meaningful difference about 7:30 vs 7:50. Both are quite early. That’s life.
