Lunch lasts 15 minutes and if it curbs the spread why wouldn't they? This is important whether you care about your kid getting sick or you care about them missing school due to COVID/COVID close contact or both. [/quote]

My Janney kid wasn't told they'd have an indoor option. I don't see how they could leave that up to a 5 year old to decide. It should be the parents decision. [/quote]

+1, also I’m impressed that these kids communicated what they’d heard. My Janney first grader had no idea. But I trust the school on this and am ok with my kid eating either indoors or out. [/quote]
