School US news WSJ starting Salary SAT Cornell 17 11 69k 1420-1540 Emory 21 20 63k 1400-1520 Vandy 14 15 62k 1450-1560 Gtown 23 32 CNF 1380-1530 WashU 14 17 63k 1470-1570 Notre D 19 27 70k 1400-1550 Dartmouth 13 13 75k 1440-1560 Umich 23 24 56k 1340-1530 So what are these secret firms that don't recruit at the overrated Emory or WashU? They must not pay any better.
DP but Emory is not super well-regarded in either finance or consulting, this in spite of the fact that it had a dedicated undergrad business program. Smart kids out of Emory will still do well for themselves, but they’ll have to work harder than kids from literally any of the other schools you listed above.
DP looking at the stats to me all the kids at Emory ( and the other schools) are smart. And a reminder that Emory does not have an engineering program like the other schools do so it doesn't get a "tech boost" for it's avg salary.
