another thing -- they took her disabled daughter and did a highly invasive medical procedure on her (the rape kit).  without you present.  WITHOUT MOTHER PRESENT?!?!?  the child is either a). a minor or b). has the capacity of an 8 to 10 year old (according to Mom's own words) or c). both, in which case MOM'S CONSENT is required for such a procedure!!!  What the HELL kind of mother sits there while strangers conduct a rape kit on her possibly underage, definitely mentally disabled, raped and brutalized daughter?  Sits there in the Gloria Steinem room, with soft music playing and hoopskirted women prance in pictures on the wall.  BULLSHIT.  either you are full of shit, or you are the Worst Mother In The World.

oh yeah, and what the fuck kind of women's shelter has such beautifully appointed facilities?  conference room?  soft music?  chintzy art on the walls?  is this the Ritz Carlton of shelters?  i wish to God that REAL women's shelters had that kind of funding.
