My personal opinion is that 10-15% of people are just jerks—rich jerks will cheat on their taxes and treat their workers liked crap; homeless jerks will camp in front of a school and crap on a park bench.  Yes, some of it is mental illness, but it’s naive to act like all homeless people are good people who will do the considerate thing if given the option.  Some people are just jerks and that’s as true in the homeless community as it is in the country club set.[/quote]
