OP, heartwarming is such an individual thing and like trying to catch lightning in a bottle. What has worked for me: "Parks and Recreation" (keep watching, it gets better after season one when some characters change). Really sweet friendships and romances. For me, a very heartwarming show though it might not seem like it is "Psych." Comes on as a goofy motormouthed annoying man-boy show but over time and close watching, there are a lot of devoted relationships and one of the best (though very underrated!) non-romantic, female-male partnerships/mentorships/friendships on TV. Takes time to get there (and again, keep watching, things grow a lot after season one, and the pilot is one of the least good episodes-it's not bad! but just skip to episode 2).
YES! Psych is such a good recommendation. The friendship between Gus and Shawn is so lovely and great, and I love seeing Shawn and his dad's relationship develop. I am mixed on the romantic relationships. Parks and Rec, too. Skip season 1.
