[/quote] Well, in my house (growing up as a child, NOT my house now with my kids) it started out with "You'll sit there until you've eaten every bite" type comments...if that didn't work it would sometimes escalate to squeezing the kids face/cheeks/mouth open with one hand and trying to cram food in with the other...if kid spits food out he gets a smack in the face...if it still didn't work the belt came out.
