But if you are a person with no known exposure,  and you have a sore throat, and test negative, you don't need to quarantine!  Especially if you are vaccinated.

I think INOVA followed the wrong decision-tree .  They treated him as though he had close contact with a known positive case.

Fwiw,  my kid had a sore throat on our last day at the beach.  He's vaxd.  I took him for a test because he had HS orientation coming up in a few days.   Rapid test was neg.  I didn't have the PCR results yet when I sent him to orientation.  But, I talked to the admins begore he entered.  Explained that he was very congested, but I has a neg test.  Showed them.  They wouldn't have even required the  neg test, but they were glad I had it.  The neg PCR came back later that day. Of course he finished 4 more days of orientation.

Let's not make this harder than we have to!  Negative test:  go on with life.  Especially when you and others are vaxd and/or masked.
