I also know some kids who are average, possibly below average, but their parents have big money by fluke (mostly by way of timing), and basically bribes their way into college with $1m+ donation/s, under the guise of "athlete". Development office admits and athletic recruits are 100% separate. This is why the "Aunt Becky" scandal was a scandal.[/quote]
