For my child, I always tell her I want her to be happy, have no regrets, and will support her in whatever endeavors she pursues. She is a high achieving 8th grader and headed to a magnet program with goals of going to an exclusive college, but I told her I would be happy with any decision she makes and I mean it. Life is too short for regrets, unhappiness, and foul feelings of disappointment. [/quote]
