It sounds like there may be something to the original complaint if a team was that easy to identify based solely on the fact that they’re a lower-ranked Arlington team holding their own.  I looked at all the standings, and it’s kind of embarrassing for Arlington that so many of their teams are doing so poorly in their own tournament.  But really I just feel for the kids, because it’s a lousy experience.[/quote]

Why should the fact that you’re the team hosting the tournament mean that you should do better or worse than any other team?

I’m not an ASA parent, but our team is playing in the tournament and it’s been a well-run tournament and very enjoyable. Kudos to Arlington for putting it on - it reminded me that this was the same tournament we played at last year, the only spring season play we had, before COVID shut everything down. Here we are one year later, back in action!

Anyway, whether your team is doing well or not, let’s all be happy that the kids are getting the chance to play this spring and starting the season off with hopefully a few competitive and fun games.[/quote]
