[/quote]If you're taking a leave of absence, then you're not an active teacher.  Those individuals can get in line with their same aged cohort.  They shouldn't jump in front of high risk seniors.[/quote]

That’s not how vaccination allocation works. if someone could give up their shot and we know that it would go to a senior I think many of us would make that choice. But it’s not set up that way. You can be upset about it, many of us are, many of us feel shame about it but it doesn’t change the way the system is set up. We go in the order that were called. If someone who doesn't intend to teach takes a vaccine, they are literally taking it from the pool that would go to a senior.  The system in no way forces someone who doesn't intent to keep teaching to receive a vaccine now.  They can register through the state like everyone else and wait.[/quote]

That makes zero sense. We need our population vaccinated. I’m a healthcare worker and I received my vaccination through my employer. If I could’ve said please get this to my mother or so and so is auntie instead I sure as hell would half. But I couldn’t do that. So I took the vaccination so I can continue to contribute and I pray that my mother will get through for her own appointment soon. [/quote]
