The reason I say that is that I am a team manager, and our coach asked me to help get a kid whose parents cannot pay at all into our club so that he could play defender for our team. It was a giant PITA (dad had to get a letter from employer etc.) but we got it done. So there was clearly some motivation other than money for this kid. [/quote]
